Marina ~ AS-280
Open 7 days a week from 0800 – 1830. Situated along the scenic shores of Morgan Bay and Southwest Creak on a 64 – acre complex, home to a full service Marina with 79 slips, dry storage area, gasoline sales, a small retail store, camp sites, swimming/fishing, sailing and nature trails. Six picnic areas, three covered Pavilions, and an Indoor Party Room. Many items available for issue or rent. Details call 449-6578.
Youth Rotoball Basketball Camp ~ June 16th – 20th
$10 per family, limited space, maximum participation (50) children per session. Registration starts June 2nd at the Youth Sports Office AS-202, Mon. – Fri. from 0830 – 1630 . Camp will be held at the MCAS Fitness Center, AS-4000 from 0830 – 1130 for ages: 5-9 and 1230 – 1530 for ages: 10 – 15. Open to families of Active Duty, Retirees’ and authorized civilian employees. Mr. Thieme is a 4th Degree Black Belt, Certified Instructor, National tournament judge. Mrs. Thieme is a 2 Degree Black Belt, Certified Instructor and Regional tournament judge. Their competition accomplishments include 12 State and National Championship
Titles in Sparring, Weapons and Form. Their combined 25-year teaching resume includes training 6 of his male and female adult students to reach the World Championship level of competition. Dozens of their younger students have earned State Championships. They have also trained numerous students to become Black Belt Instructors in the Marines, Army, Navy and Air Force.
