Classes offered are held at the Area 2 Indoor Swimming Pool, Bldg #236, located Behind the Base Theater on McHugh Blvd. All registrations for scheduled classes will be held at the Area 2 Pool from 1100-1700, except for classes scheduled during the months of June, July and August, registration will be held at the Tarawa Terrace Pool (from 1100 - 1700). The fee is $50 and each additional student will be $25.

Each session consists of five, half hour classes, that are held Monday thru Friday. Each lesson is designed based on the student's swimming needs or desires. An individual, or up to 3 students may register with an instructor.

Individuals with disabilities are welcome to attend these classes.

Group Swim Lessons

Indoor Pool (Area 2 Pool)

All classes offered are held at the Area 2 Indoor Swimming Pool, Bldg # 236, located behind the Base Theater on McHugh Blvd. All registrations for scheduled classes will be held at the Area 2 Pool from 1100-1700, except for classes scheduled during the months of June, July and August, registration will be held at the Tarawa Terrace Pool. The fee is $30 for Levels 1-5 and $25 for Waterbabies and Preschool classes.

The lessons and camps offered are held at the Tarawa Terrace Swimming Pool located at the intersection of Tarawa Terrace and Iwo Jima Boulevards. on the Tarawa Terrace Housing Complex. All registrations are held at the pool from 1100 – 1700 every day except Tuesdays. *Proof of age is required for group lessons registration

Pool EFMP

AREA 2 POOL, located on Mainside behind the Base Theater on McHugh Blvd, is an indoor facility which operates year round. This pool offers aquatic classes and daily recreational, lap swimming, and private parties. The pool is handicap accessible and equipped with aquatic stairs and a chair lift.

TARAWA TERRACE POOL, an outdoor pool located in the Tarawa Terrace Housing Complex, is located at the corner of Tarawa Terrace and Iwo Jima Blvd. This pool is open from May through September and offers aquatic classes, recreational swimming, and private parties. The pool is handicap accessible.

CAMP JOHNSON POOL, located on Camp Johnson, on Macawa Blvd beside the athletic field, is an indoor facility which operates year round. The pool is handicap accessible and equipped with aquatic steps and a chair lift, this facility is open for lap and recreational swimming.

PARADISE POINT POOL is located at the Officers' Club. The pool is operated May through September. Officers' Club membership is required to use this facility.

COURTHOUSE BAY POOL, located on Poe St. direcetly behind the Recreation Center is an indoor facility which operates year round. The pool is handicap accessible and equipped with built-in steps and a chair lift.

PRIVATE PARTIES at TARAWA TERRACE and AREA 2 POOL

Tarawa Terrace Outdoor Pool is available for parties Wed-Mon from 1930 to 2330. An hourly fee is charged based on the number of persons attending. Reservation must be made in person at the TT Pool.

Area 2 Pool is available for parties Thu & Fri evenings or Sat & Sun morning and evenings. The cost is $40 per hour. Reservations must be made in person at the Area 2 Pool. If you have any questions, please call 451-2024 or 451-2513 for more information.

Next time you are at the pool, join the Camp Lejeune Swim Club. It is free and easy to join. Simply, ask our staff how to record your swimming distance. We will reward your hard work with a certificate and a T-shirt for 50 miles, a sweatshirt for 200 miles, or a jacket for 500 miles.

LIFEGUARD CLASS

COST: $125 includes book, mask, and American Red Cross Certifications for Lifeguard, First Aid, CPR/PR, and AED.
